European Cyber Security Challenge

Europe’s cyber talent.
One ecosystem.

ECSC identifies, develops and connects Europe’s next generation of cybersecurity talent. The newly established ECSC Association adds something the ecosystem has never had before: a permanent legal, financial and operational backbone for long-term partnerships, community development and European capability building.

What ECSC has become

More than a competition.

The annual final is the most visible moment of a much larger European talent ecosystem: national challenges, training, bootcamps, Team Europe, universities, research, public institutions, industry and a growing alumni community.

01

Compete

National selection programmes identify highly motivated young cyber talent and bring the strongest teams to the European final.

02

Grow

Bootcamps, coaches, training resources and Team Europe turn competition experience into long-term skills and capability.

03

Connect

The community stays connected beyond the event through alumni, mentoring, opportunities and cross-border collaboration.

From talent to capability

A European pipeline, not a one-off event.

Our ambition: build a lifelong European cyber talent journey — from first challenge to competition, training, international representation, professional growth and contribution back into the ecosystem.

New: ECSC Association

Permanent capability without centralising the ecosystem.

Until now, ECSC had no permanent legal body of its own. The Association changes that. It can enter long-term contracts, manage funding and partnerships, safeguard the ECSC brand and IP, support National Organisers and future Hosts, and build programmes that outlive a single event cycle.

Governance principle: National Organisers control. The ExeCom operates. Partners support — but do not govern.

Partner with Europe

From sponsorship to strategic partnership.

The ECSC Association can now build multi-year partnerships and European industry consortia around a shared mission: stronger cyber talent, skills, resilience and technological capability in Europe.

Talent

Develop future capability

Support learning, mentoring, national ecosystems, Team Europe and access programmes.

Resilience

Strengthen sectors

Connect cyber talent development with industrial, critical-infrastructure and supply-chain resilience.

Sovereignty

Invest in Europe

Help build long-term European cyber capability without buying control over the ecosystem.

Continuity with safeguards

A permanent home for a federated ecosystem.

Community first

The public website and future portal are designed around talents, organisers, coaches and alumni — not around sponsor access.

Long-term partnerships

The Association can enter multi-year contracts and build European industry consortia that support shared capability over time.

Operational separation

A planned non-profit operating company can deliver projects and services while the Association protects mission, governance and strategic assets.
